The Office of Personnel Management finds itself defending a recently finalized rule meant to prevent the return of Schedule F. That’s a Trump-era policy that made it easier to fire career certain federal employees in policy jobs. OPM’s acting director says the re-emergence of such a policy would worsen problems recruiting and retaining federal employees. Federal News Network’s Jory Heckman has the latest.
