Grant & Jack Martin

Welcome to the premier episode of Appalachian Table Tales. This Podcast is presented to you by Backroads of Appalachia, Americorps VISTA and the What's up World Podcast.

The first episode features Father and Son. Mr. Jack and Grant Martin. Jack and Grant operated a local dairy farm for over 53 years. The stories these Men tell will take you back to a time long ago when Men were Men and tough as nails. Sitting directly across from me during this interview was Mr. Jack Martin. You can plainly see that this Man exudes hard work, dedication, Wisdom and Love. You can also see this from his son Grant. As they set across from me and explain how life was growing up on a dairy farm I am reminded of a time when I was a kid and how much simpler times have passed by. Jack and Grant and two Men of God. They tell of how they run a local church and how it has played an instrumental part of their successes. Towards the end of this Podcast, I ask Jack one final question and his response is one that I think we all need to hear.
