It seems impossible, but Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is just around the corner! This year, the Oogie Boogie Bash will take place on 25 select nights from September 5th through October 31st. The Plaza de la Familia and Tributes to Dia de los Muertos are also back from September 1st through November 2nd. California residents have a new ticket deal for this summer. The deal allows guests to visit the parks for three days for as little as $83 a day. There is a slight catch; the tickets are not valid on Fridays through Sundays at that price. To upgrade to a ticker with no limitations, the price goes to $100 a day. These are one park per day tickets, with no park hopping. Guests watching World of Color – ONE have an added bonus for a limited time. Elemental Connection, a new pre-show showcasing the story of the upcoming movie Elemental, plays just before the main World of Color show. We are a few months into the Disney100, and more things keep coming! Some new items have been added to the Foodie Guide for the celebration. The Disney100 Chocolate Tart is now available at the Blue Bayou, and a Spiced Ham & Eggs with Biscuit and Gravy is at Carnation Cafe. Over at Gibson Girl Ice Cream, the Berry Violet Sundae is also new. June 6th was national churro day! Nine new churros are available now until August 31st, along with two others that are available later this summer. Out in Downtown Disney, Beigets Expressed has opened at Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill and Patio. Guests can watch beignets being made through a window, much like candy on Main Street! The inside of the location is pretty open and spacious. Guests can also purchase beignet mix to try making them at home. With the closure of Splash Mountain last week, the narration on the Disneyland Railroad and the Mark Twain Riverboat has been updated to talk about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure coming to Critter Country in 2024. Disneyland is now back to three of the four mountains being operational. The Matterhorn has reopened after a refurbishment over the last couple of months. Since the incident with Fantasmic!, Wondrous Journeys has not been showing on the Rivers of America. This past week, it returned! This is a great location to see the projection part of the show and have a minimal crowd experience. A burst water pipe in Adventureland caused some dampening of spirits last week. The plumbing issue closed down a large part of Adventureland and caused some other attractions to temporarily close. MiceChat reported this week that some guests over at Avengers Campus have been invited to see a new young Groot animatronic that may be coming to the Awesome Dance Off in the future. As part of the Dance Off, Star-Lord and Groot interact with each other, with young Groot talking and reacting to Sta-Lord.
