Our War with Lucifer, In Heaven and On Earth, Part Three

We are at war with Lucifer (and his adherents). We have been since before we were sent down to this earth. Lucier seeks to destroy the agency of humankind. The freedom to choose is inherent in all of us. We reap the blessings or cursings of our decisions. Agency is central to God's plan for our eternal progression, Lucifer wanted to change all of that, he wanted to impose goodness upon all, and in exchange, he coveted recognition, all of the glory, and even God's seat on the throne. His good looks, gift of persuasion, and empty promises of salvation for all led many of God's spirit children to go along with his plans. Although many were convinced to change their minds and trust their Heavenly Father, a third of the hosts of heaven were persuaded that obtaining a body and the tests of mortality were too hard to bear.God's plan required redemption. It required a Savior and atonement for sin. God's only begotten Son agreed to fulfill this role. Through His power, we become resurrected with a glorified body. Through Him, we can overcome our sins, repent, and move closer to the eternal goal of becoming more like Christ in our attitudes, disposition, and personal attributes.The division between those who agreed to follow God's eternal plan versus Lucifer's short-sighted, hollow guarantees of salvation became an all-out war. In the end, Michael the Archangel and his armies overcame Lucifer and his adherents; ultimately, Lucifer and his followers were cast out of heaven, and down to this earth.The war in heaven did not end the conflict. Rather, it set the stage for the ongoing conflict between good and evil on Planet Earth. Evil begins with false ideologies or beliefs, which lead to sin, error, mistakes, and misguided actions. The fight between truth and error is prophesied to culminate in these, the last days. We are also told by God's oracles which group will ultimately win this conflict--God and His people.In this question-and-answer session, Shawn White answers many questions relating to the battle between good and evil, both in pre-mortality and mortality. He explains how he saw Lucifer operate among us before we came down to earth. He talks about how we can fight back, and how we can lessen the coming calamities through righteous living.
