How can the city crack down on these landlords? And how can we better protect these vulnerable students?
Lastly, Dr. Kerry Bowman, a bioethicist with the University of Toronto and we were talking about the case of a Brampton Sikh man, who’s beard was shaved off without consent, according to his family, while in hospital at Brampton Civic Hospital. This is a big no-no in the Sikh religion.. We spoke about the cultural significance of this with Dr. Bowman, whose doctoral research focused on cultural sensitivity .. why would this upset the family and what does the hospital have to do to make good with them?
