Alexis Ren drops by to talk with Kyle Meredith about Latency, the sci-fi thriller that follows a professional gamer (Sasha Luss) battling acute agoraphobia, tasked with testing new gaming equipment powered by AI, capable of reading her mind. Ren, who plays Luss’ best friend Jen, tells us what it was like working with a two-person cast, how the themes of online culture and solitude line up with our times, and how a lot of what she was able to get from the role had natural parallels to the work she’s done in mental health activism and even from her time on Dancing With The Stars.
