For today’s Rewind, we look back at four interviews between St. Vincent and Kyle Meredith. Starting in 2012 while touring Strange Mercy, we found Annie Clark backstage at Bonnaroo to discuss her then-upcoming collaboration with the Talking Heads’ David Byrne, punk rock, and dancing. The next stop finds us backstage in Nashville in 2015 while touring her self-titled LP, where she discusses the Grammys, being "weird," and mythology. From there, it’s 2017 to dig into Masseduction, her activities between LPs, and being the subject of tabloid culture, with the final stop in 2021 with the Daddy’s Home record with talk of 70’s nostalgia, 90s alternative, and wanting to make a Tool-like album.Listen to St. Vincent chat about all this and more in the new episode.
