Classic English Tale about a clever cat which goes out of the way to secure the future of its master. Unlike every other story, this particular story has no lesson but revolves around the power of promise and dedication. The story begins with a miller who died and passed on his property among his children leaving the youngest with nothing but a cat. The disappointed son wishes to get rid of the cat but instead the cat promises to make him rich. After numerous trickery and lies in which the cat projects its master as some nobleman "Marquis of Carabas" to a wealthy king, the cat succeeds in keeping its promise and makes his master a prince and gets him married to the king's daughter.
