Rugby podcasters Brett McKay and Harry Jones welcome back to The 8-9 Combo Welsh rugby writer and top shelf video analyst Sam Larner to run the rule over the first round of July Internationals in the southern hemisphere, and contemplate the lessons learned and the early kneejerk reactions ahead of the Second Tests this weekend coming.

Sam and the guys go through the major series now underway in the southern hemisphere – New Zealand-England, Australia-Wales, South Africa-Ireland, and Argentina-France – and look at the major lessons learned for the losing sides, the obvious work-ons for the winners, and take an early look at where changes might be made at the selection tables. And ponder who of England, Wales, and Ireland might be best equipped to square their series, while outlining what worked so well for New Zealand, Australia, and Ireland.
