7/27/23 Proof Positive: Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Batch C922

This week's proof positive is a fantastic bottle from Elijah Craig, Batch C922.
The last and also the highest proof in the Elijah Craig Barrel Proof 2022 series, Batch C922 tends to find a more middle ground between the earlier releases. The year kicked off with Batch A122 which delivered more of an earthy pour and was followed by Batch B522 which delivered a bit more of a spicy pour. Batch C922 delivers a slightly sweet pour with a nice balance of additional spice and a touch of earthy notes. Its nose opens with a blend of classic bourbon scents, while its palate and finish provide sweeter and spicier notes with a touch of oak and leather to ground it.
