409: Actor Mamoudou Athie

In this week's episode of the Black Girl Nerds podcast, we chat with actor Mamoudou Athie. He is currently starring in the film Kinds of Kindness  is a fable, following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returnedand seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.

Athie is best known for his roles as Dan Turner in the Netflix horror series Archive 81 (2022) and voicing Wade Ripple in the Pixar animated film Elemental (2023). He had his first feature film starring roles in 2020, starring in Uncorked and Black Box.
