Beatrice Ashe is having an incredibly average day, up until the part where she is brutally stabbed to death. Well, near death. Some people have bosses who meddle in their work, some have bosses who are little too quick to act, and some have bosses who will bring you back from the precipice of annihilation by turning you into a vampire. Now, Bea has some new problems, only one of which is the mystery around who did this to her and why.
