A man charged with murder, a rapist, and a child sex offender are among the criminals who were granted visas to remain here, even though they’re not citizens. It’s caused such outrage the government’s been scrambling to modify something called direction 99. It was a change to the rules made just over a year ago after pressure from New Zealand about the people Australia was deporting.
