Belinda Johnson had her career set as a lawyer until she pitched herself to Mark Cuban to join his new web company Broadcast.com in 1996. When the company sold to Yahoo she stayed on for 12 years, with 10 of those spent as Deputy General Counsel. She joined Airbnb in 2011 as General Counsel and was named the company's first ever COO earlier this year.
