175 – An Overseer Found Dead, Secret Memos, CSA Exposed, & A Brave Couple – Meet The 2x2s

In this episode we meet Kyle and Kari, a brave couple that has been a support (along with others) to their community of religious disaffiliates as they have been awakened to the realities of their group in shocking ways. What group are we talking about? Meet the Two By Twos, at times referred to as “the no name church”, a group that doesn’t necessarily have a specific designated name from within, but which has been given names primarily by the secular community. Much like Jehovah’s Witnesses, they often refer to their doctrine as The Truth, and they also use similar terminology, such as the friends, the meetings, elders, overseers, worldly, conventions, and more. Sadly, just like Jehovah’s Witnesses but more recent, they too have been devastated by allegations of child sex abuse that have come out of the darkness and into the light.
