Today we're joined by Debra Tisler, mom, educator, and candidate for school board in Fairfax County Virginia, to discuss the importance of putting kids first in education. We look into why our children aren't progressing, especially in reading, and what we can do to get involved and make sure all children receive the help they deserve. Then we discuss what it's like running for school board, and why it's something that any concerned parent or community member can and should do. Lastly, Debra shares how she'd help her district get the focus back on kids and also shares ways parents can get more involved with their children's education.
