Slayed It? The Witcher Season 2

After COVID delays and eager anticipation, season two of The Witcher on Netflix is finally here. As you know, Linsay and Genevieve are big fans of the show, the books and the video games, so they dive deep. Season two draws heavily from Andrzej Sapkowski’s second book, Blood of Elves. but there were quite a few deviations from the original source material. Some of those deviations we loved and others (as much of the internet) we had questions about - the death of a beloved character, the creation of a new baddie, accelerating Ciri’s training and changing a bit of her backstory and the less than imposing fighting skills of the other Witchers. But all in all, we enjoyed this second installment and can’t wait for the next. As always, spoilers ahead. And if you haven’t watched The Witcher animated film, Nightmare of the Wolf, we encourage you to do so. It will help inform some of the events in season 2.
