S2E4: Artists and Gardeners

Release Date:

Welcome to this week’s episode of The AUSA Podcast! Today, we continue our conversation about culture making with Lindsey Gatlin! Join us as we sit down to talk about creativity, cultivation, leadership, prayer, and wisdom. If God is a Creator and a Ruler, then so are we. And if we are Creators and Rulers, then we are Artists and Gardeners. Because we are created in God's image and likeness, we have a responsibility to create and cultivate—to both make culture and keep culture. In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to be practiced in and receptive to the skills of creating and cultivating, and we translate the idea of being Artists and Gardeners into a culturally creative context.
We break down the ways that Artists and Gardeners see and go about the world, and we explore the ways in which we can do that ourselves—the ways in which we can actually do something to influence culture. Creativity is the only way to incite lasting change, and we cannot create without cultivation. We think culture is very important, so if you enjoyed this episode or anything peaked your interest, we'd love to start a conversation!
