On this special episode of Thirty-Six, Justin pays tribute to his dear teacher, former boss, and friend Ilia Salita (z’l) who tragically passed away in June 2020. Ilia was born in the former Soviet Union and immigrated to the United States as a young adult. An unabashedly proud Zionist, American, and Russian-speaking Jew, Ilia weaved these identities into his life’s purpose and legacy. We could think of no better person to speak about Ilia, his friendship and his legacy than with one of his heroes, Natan Sharansky.
