The Importance of Pain in the Human Experience Ep-1604

Now, I let my little girl risk all sorts of physical pain being a nationally ranked speed skater. But, when it came to emotional pain, I used my adult ability to withstand pain to be a buffer for her, instead of equipping her to find solutions. One factor for the anxiety and depression in our society is that people do not have enough pain in their lives that they are forced to actually deal with. In a TED X talk, Travis Daigle equated his ability to withstand and use pain for good as a key factor in the success he has experienced in life.
