Welcome to Episode 115 of Pelo Buddy TV, an unofficial Peloton podcast & Peloton news show. This week we cover the following topics: Leanne Hainsby shared that she’s been going through treatment for breast cancer the past few months. Tunde Oyeneyin will be launching across the full strength platform on February 18th. Congratulations to Marcel Maurer, who shared that he got engaged this past week. Congratulations to Matt Wilpers, who got married on Friday. Peloton held their quarterly earnings call this week and investors were pleased with the news. After quietly looking for a buyer, Peloton has decided to keep Precor and let it run independently. You can once again get bonus points for buying Peloton hardware with a Chase Sapphire credit card. There was a bug for a few days with the “Here Now” leaderboard where people would disappear from it. The first guided scenic rows are here from San Diego, California, taught by Matt & Ash. Peloton had a featured artist series showcasing the music of Nile Rodgers. Peloton said they plan to bring the extra 10 classes to more class types later this year. Peloton is celebrating Black History Month, and Tunde will have a virtual event. There will be an event at PSL to celebrate the opening of the new expanded retail space. Last Sunday, there was an issue with live classes for a few hours. Peloton has some new billboards up around NYC as part of a new advertising campaign The “Wicked Smaht Zone” Peloton group has been getting news coverage for their random act of kindness of leaving a $4,600 tip at a local restaurant.
