Having A Successful Fall Season Amidst COVID

That’s right. The pandemic strikes again. I’m not going to be debating anything about Covid, but the reality is that it’s still here, it’s still impacting events, and therefore it’s still impacting the photography industry. Which is why I want you to set yourself up for a successful fall season despite Covid.    If you had asked me last year if I thought we’d still be dealing with Covid at this scale, I would have definitely told you no. Since it’s still here though, I want to give you some tips. My first tip is to set expectations ahead of time.    I don’t know if you’ve noticed but this has been a running theme throughout the podcast. The more you communicate with your potential clients and clients, the better. Make sure that they know that you are doing everything in your power to keep them safe and then tell them what that means.    Being proactive will help your clients feel more confident in you, your business, and your work.    Prepare for cancellations now. They’re going to happen. What can you do now to help offset those lost or rescheduled events? Perhaps offering mini-sessions throughout the season makes sense.
