A Pod of Their Own, Episode 191: The Encrappening of Everything

Release Date:

Welcome back to A Pod of Their Own, an all-women led Home Run Applesauce podcast where we talk all things Mets, social justice issues in baseball, and normalize female voices in the sports podcasting space.
This week, we begin by discussing Kodai Senga’s injury and what it means for the Mets rotation. We also try to look on the bright side by also discussing early silver linings this spring, such as Francisco Alvarez, to varying degrees of success.
Next, we once again ask fans to treat athletes like human beings instead of commodities and shout out a new initiative by wives of former NHL players that serves exactly that purpose.
We also talk about the awful new uniforms and the league gaslighting the fans about them.
Finally, we wrap things up with Walk-off Wins, where each of us talks about what’s making us happy this week, baseball-related or otherwise.
You can listen or subscribe to all of our wonderful Home Run Applesauce podcasts through Apple Podcasts, where we encourage you to leave a review if you enjoy the show. It really helps!
