I knew that I had to get it, and I sought that out in a truthful and honest way. And then the path revealed itself. I don't think it's coincidental that an avenue opened up to where I could support myself music-wise. Sometimes the genesis of a song can be a trumpet lick that have been stuck in the back of my head, and that turns into a melody. Sometimes it could be a drum groove that I really resonate.
