Looking back, though, where would they even get that information from? TV technology changed so rapidly throughout the 80s, 90s, and 2000's I don't see how any scientific evidence could even have  existed; let alone long term studies on development. Years later I’ve come to recognize the idea that not everything we tend to believe is backed up by science. So what about this one? Are screens bad? Do they rot your brain or hurt your eyes?
