Terms of Endearment is the classic mother/daughter film and the complex relationship between the two. Shirley MacLaine portrays Aurora who struggles to express joy, she seems constantly annoyed by something especially her daughter. Emma, portrayed by Debra Winger is a free spirit who just seems to be making her way through life encountering many different obstacles.
