Rescues Are Full!

In this episode, we bring back Melissa Terzis of East Coast Corgi Rescue and ask for her unfiltered explanation of how things have happened this way. Our cherished rescue groups and shelters are experiencing more owner surrenders than they can handle across the nation. Many have had to stop accepting surrenders. Although not easy to hear, we wanted to share what is happening in the rescue world. We ask that you have an open mind as we explore the myriad of events and human mistakes that have caused this to occur. We also explain how you can help: purchasing mindfully from a responsible and reputable breeder when you are ready and have fully researched your breed of choice (we happen to know about corgis) at a time when you are truly ready for a new family member, or what to consider when rescuing.
