Hip Hop culture, specifically rap music, was a genre that fell victim to the segregation that very much existed in the music industry. In 2022 they'd be called allies, but for purposes of this show we'll call the people who helped push hip hop into the mainstream cultural pushers. While theres way too many to list, its hard to envision hip hop being where it's at now without the individuals discussed on this episode of Corners of the Culture.
