Brit Morin found her way to Silicon Valley by answering an ad on Craigslist that led to an internship and eventually a job at Apple. She went on to work under Marissa Mayer at Google, but in the back of her mind she always knew she wanted to start a company. After four years at Google, she decided to quit and with 6 months of savings, she went off try to start a business. Now, less than 10 years later, she has created one of the largest digital media companies for women that produces hundreds of pieces of content monthly and reaches over 175 million people. So how did she do it? On this episode, Brit opens up about taking risks, building a company from the ground up, the future of technology and reinventing social networking.
