みたいです follows a noun and express that something or someone has the similar characteristics to the thing or the person described by the noun.
<Example Sentences>
この あじ は とりにく みたいです。
This tastes like chiken.
あの ひと は めがみ みたいです。
That person is like Goddess.
からだ が なまり みたいです。
My body is like a lead.
あの ひと は さいふ を わすれた みたいです。
It looks like, that person forgot to bring the wallet.
この とけい は こわれている みたいです。
It looks like, this watch is broken.
すずきさん が いない みたいです。
It looks like, Mr. Suzuki is not around here.
