How Web3 Gaming Will Onboard the Next Wave of Users with Michael Le (50M Followers on Tiktok) and Robin Defay - Co-founders of Joystick

On this week’s episode of the Welcome to the Metaverse podcast, we’re diving back into the web3 play and earn gaming space.
As you’ll likely know by now if you’ve been listening to the podcast, there is a big fundamental movement around digital ownership in games, allowing players to own, level up and trade their in-game items as NFTs, enabling full game economies.
Gaming is the biggest entertainment industry on the planet and it’s a really clear use of NFTs but also this category of web3 gaming is in its infancy and games, especially good, fun games, by their very nature take time to build.
On this episode I chat to Michael Le aka justmaiko, a TikTok creator with over 50 million subscribers and over 10 billion views along with tech entrepreneur Robin Defay, who together are the co-founders of Joystick - a platform which provides education, content and access to gaming assets for players to use and keep 100% of their revenue whilst doing so, which is an interesting model.
I really enjoyed this conversation and web3 gaming is undoubtedly a major trend and movement that is coming, so it’s something we’ll continue to revisit and stay updated on.
