His comedic and family-friendly videos have been seen more than 600 million times on various platforms.  With fans all over the world, speaking engagements all over North America, collaborations with celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, Brittlestar is living the social media celebrity dream… not bad for a Dad from the suburbs. He joined Dr. Horton to talk about his comedic life before and after the pandemic, the idea of humour as resistance, and how to stay on the right side of the line after which things are not funny anymore.

Crazy Smooth, interprète, chorégraphe et directeur artistique de Bboyizm

L’animatrice invitée Barbara Laurenstin s’entretient avec Crazy Smooth, un des interprètes et chorégraphes de street dance des plus connus au Canada, lors du passage au Centre national des Arts en mars 2022 de sa compagnie Bboyizm pour la présentation de sa nouvelle pièce à grande échelle In My Body. Une œuvre pluridisciplinaire sur les effets du vieillissement sur le danseur de rue, interprétée par trois générations de b-girls et de b-boys. Smooth nous raconte ses origines et l’élément déclencheur de son parcours artistique. Il nous parle des difficultés de créer une pièce de groupe durant la pandémie COVID-19, et du soutien financier et des résidences qui lui ont permis de réaliser au maximum sa vision d’artiste. En terminant, il souhaite que la visibilité de son art soit source d’inspiration pour la nouvelle génération.
