One More Time With Feeling

Andrew Dominik

One More Time with Feeling began as a performance-based concept around the making of new Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds album Skeleton Tree, but evolved into something more complex as director Andrew Dominik delved into the personal backdrop of the writing and recording of the album. Interwoven throughout the Bad Seeds’ filmed performance of the new album are interviews and footage shot by Dominik, accompanied by Cave’s intermittent narration and improvised ruminations. Filmed in black-and-white and colour, the result is stark, fragile and raw. A co-production between Iconoclast and Pulse Films, in association with JW Films, and produced by Dulcie Kellett and James Wilson, One More Time with Feeling was officially selected for world premiere at the 2016 Venice Film Festival.

The Assassination of Jesse James By the Coward Robert Ford

Andrew Dominik

The names ricochet through Western lore. Jesse James (Brad Pitt) was the most notorious outlaw of his time, wanted by the law in 10 states yet celebrated as a Robin Hood in newspapers and dime novels. Teenaged Robert Ford (Casey Affleck) idolized Jesse, sought his friendship, rode with him. It wasn’t enough. The up-and-comer wanted his shot at fame. And when he got it, he took it. Pitt gives a volcanic, charismatic performance as Jesse in this saga of celebrity and obsession adapted from Ron Hansen’s historical novel by director Andrew Dominik (Chopper). “They’re all lies,” Jesse says of the stories surrounding him. A deeper, more human truth awaits in this ambitious and stirring epic film.
