Good Fun

I’m what you’d call a “film snob”. I typically don’t get into these types of movies, but this thing works. Ritchie borrows/steals/pays homage from/to everything from Jaws (dialogue), Pale Rider (protagonist/Preacher), Usual Suspects (protagonist/Söze) and everything Leone and Tarantino have ever done while adding his own unique flair for what amounts to an absolutely wild ride of a movie showcasing some surprisingly startling acting. I was thoroughly entertained and often guffawed over some of the crazier scenes. Good enough for a rewatch.

Bad asking price

Nobody is going to rent a movie for $20 just to only watch it for 48 hours. Keep scamming dumb people. ?

Steve McQueen he ain't ...

Jason Statham tries to play it ice cold, but he is so wooden he could have stood still and sold cigars. The movie jumps timelines, trying to create the illusion of a compelling script, but the plot was so rudimentary a high school drama class could have written it in 20 minutes… or less. Guy Ritchie is perplexing... he's become hit or miss.

I want my 2 hours back

Mainly his wife finishes the movie half way through. Where she says “You killed our son”. And I was like ya that’s about right.

Top tier
