For those whom have only watched the movie, read the books first. The movies don’t even compare to the books. Bella and Edwards love story is way more developed in the books than it appears on screen. The movies skip a lot of the details that are in the books and I recommend reading Midnight Sun to get Edwards POV.

of course sometimes it’s cheesy and the acting in the first movie isn’t perfect, but i love all the movies in the twilight series. would recommend.
