Three Kings (1999)

A strange yet brilliant mix of goofy humor, cynicism, and dead seriousness, Three Kings stands out as one of the most interesting war comedies around.

The actors are great and so is the story line. I wish this movie would get more credit and more publicity because I thought it was just awesome. Definitely worth watching.

A must see anti war film @chicabecky
One of the best anti-war films out, not only for the amazing cast but the cinematography. The director cross-processed his film stock to give it a slightly surreal appearance and it succeeds. Clooney, Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze are the bored soldiers going after Saddam's gold who are suddenly faced with the reality of war-and the civilians whose lives are turned upside down by Bush 1 and his oil policies. Great supporting cast as well.

This movie surprised me. It's not a typical war movie. There's plenty of action, but it's deeper. The characters are really interesting. Highly recommended.
