The Getaway
Steve McQueen stars as "Doc" McCoy--a convict who makes a deal to split his hidden loot with a corrupt politician in exchange for early release from prison--in this fast-paced tale of greed and betrayal. Once free, McCoy tries to uphold his part of the agreement, but he quickly learns there is no one he can trust as he tries to get to the Mexican border alive. Based on the novel by Jim Thompson.

Oups! Pay close attention before you buy this movie iTunes store should have been more careful about this one they have mixed all the cast members from the original movie with the remake. You should have paid more attention the Steve McQueen version didn't came out in 1997 since he died in 1980…. Alec baldwin, kim bassinger, bo hopkins, james wood, jennifer tily, michael madsen, phillip Seymour hoffman all are from the 1994 remake version of the movie….So none of these movies original or remake came out in 1997…. REally a pour jobs from the iTunes store once again

This film was a later action/adventure for Steve McQueen. His then wife Ali MacGraw also appears, who is a sheer delight to watch on screen. Directing superb. Story line simple but realistic. Crime did pay in this case. Well worth a rent!

I have been waiting for this movie to be available for a long time. Awesome!! Another classic performance from Steve McQueen. Is he cool or what!! Combine Steve McQueen and the great director Sam Peckinpah and you have a great action movie.
