Stray

Director: Elizabeth Lo
Release Date:

Through the eyes of three stray dogs wandering the streets of Istanbul, Stray explores what it means to live as a being without status or security. As they search for food and shelter, Zeytin, Nazar and Kartal embark on inconspicuous journeys through society that allow us an unvarnished portrait of human life - and their own canine culture. The disparate lives of Zeytin, Nazar and Kartal intersect when they each form intimate bonds with a group of young Syrians who share the streets with them.

A real life “Isle of Dogs”

A terrific piece of documentary filmmaking - shedding light on the day to day existence of both dog and human strays as they work together to stay alive. It’s gritty, raw, and beautifully shot.

Puppies

I couldn’t finish this movie because when it comes to homeless and stray Dogs it’s too painful to witness that type of loneliness and suffering Intentionally!! I have a special “soft spot” for puppies....

Love these dogs!

And this movie! So moving.
