Great Movie

Riveting!

Bold and Brave!!

This film makes the bold choice to address modern day racism and police brutality and how it is not black and white. It’s way more complicated than that, and I applaud this movie for acknowledging that and for humanizing it’s characters. Also very powerful performances from Washington and Ramos.

Great Actors, Great Story, Great Movie!

Film is very relevant to current issues.

Didn’t Stick the Landing

The premise of this is GREAT, but the story is disjointed and while it claims to show the gray area of police decisions it really just vilifies the police an all powerful force with no responsibility for their actions. Enough time is not spent with each character to truly connect with or really develop them. Most of the actors are good, but the little screen time affects the overall performance of the film. If you’re looking for a good movie to start a dialogue or to lead into “the uncomfortable conversations” this one is not it.
