Exiled unjustly, convicted without a trial, slandered without cause. The life of St. Nektarios of Aegina was one of persecution and prosecution. A priest of the common people, his popularity provoked the jealousy of the clergy in Alexandria and as a result, he was defrocked and expelled from Egypt. In contrast to his religious “superiors”, Nektarios cared for the poor, taught peasant girls to read and write, and performed miracles. Even his last moment on earth was used to help another: upon his death, Nektarios’ undergarment was removed, and as it fell upon a paralyzed man in the hospital bed next to him, the man arose to walk. So, too, do we hope MAN OF GOD will awaken the paralyzed faith in audiences around the world.

I'm not someone who's going to leave a review unless it truly left an impact on me! I've been waiting to see this movie for over a year & I'm here to tell you, it doesn't disappoint. You know it's a religious film going into it just from the title, so don't give it a bad review for that reason (if that's not ur type of film don't watch it in the first place!) St. Nectarios was put into circumstances no human should ever be put into, but he never wavered, questioned his faith or even the people arnd him; it brought him closer to his faith & to God! It doesn't matter if you're an Eastern Orthodox Christian & already knew some of his story, are just coming into your faith, or just want to want an uplifting movie: this is one you'll want to watch!!

This was very well done. A truly moving and inspiring film. It’s not often you watch a movie that makes you want to be a better person; to pray more and love better, but this did. Highly recommend it.

I found this movie to have a profound effect on me and I’m so very happy that I bought it so I may watch it again whenever I’m feeling down!! It made my spirit feel good and I forgot for a moment all of the things that have been going on in this world! I will prepare myself for the return of our Savior better after watching what this man endured! Judy H

One of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. Beautifully shot, richly deep in content.
