Hall Pass

Director: Peter Farrelly & Bobby Farrelly
Release Date:

Best buddies Rick and Fred (Owen Wilson and Jason Sudeikis) have both been married for a long time. They love their wives, but, like some guys, just can't help checking out every other woman who crosses their paths. Fed up with this habitual rubber-necking, their wives (Jenna Fischer and Christina Applegate) take a bold approach to revitalize their marriages by granting their husbands a "hall pass": one week of freedom to do whatever they want, no questions asked. Seven days to see exactly what it is out there they think they're missing...or stop looking once and for all. At first, it sounds like a dream come true for Rick and Fred. But they quickly discover that their expectations of the single life-and themselves-are completely and hilariously out of sync with reality.

Not the best from Wilson and not that funny either

There are so many movies that call themselves romantic comedies hoping to cross the $100 million successful rom-com mark by pretending to be funny, but most of them, iike this film, don't really manage to pull it off. Probably the best part of this is in the supporting roles played by the "girls" who give their hubbies permission to be sexually promiscuous for a week. It's good in that I know a lot of guys who think that if only their wives were not standing in the way they could be having crazy sex with all the hot girls they see, and that's just what the guys in this film think too. When the wives decide to call them out on this, the result is more sad and depressing than anything else. It's cool though that while the guys are mostly striking out, the girls are able to pull whatever they want. Ah, the cold hard truth of it! There are a couple of moments that are decent, but overall the film is more melancholy than funny and the acting from the leads is affected and feels like acting more than anything else.

On Flight from Europe

This movie was so funny. I could not stop laughing. I absolutely loved it and it made part of my 9 hour flight home from Europe enjoyable...

...What?

This movie was pretty terrible. Just being honest...I love all of the actors in this movie but it's DEFINITELY not their best work. Very disappointing :(

Boring

I'm all for juvenile humor, which is why critics mostly criticize this movie, but this movie is just not funny. The only thing i chuckeled at out loud was the very last line. For the rest of the movie, maybe i cracked a smile here and there, but for the most part I was waiting for it to be over. It's too bad because i'm a big owen wilson fan.

Epic
