The war has changed...but the warriors remain the same. This 17th installment of the legendary Agent 007 involves today's post-Cold War Russia and deals with the Mafia-linked market in nuclear weapons--with swiftly changing political patterns turning old opponents into new best friends...and old allies into deadly enemies.

Good Start to the Brosnan Era

Goldeneye with all its might tried to deliver an edgier Bond at its time. Many felt a change was in order and so we got a new M, a new Moneypenny and of course a new Bond. With producers overjoyed at finally getting Brosnan after his Remington Steele contract ended, the future seemed pretty good. The movie has an explosive theme by Tina Turner yet a questionable score by Eric Serra. Naturally the two did not fuse. And although its opening sequence is somewhat farfetched, the movie delivered a promising start for the 90's. It has the humor, the girls, the cars and the gadgets. Its Bond. And its done well.

Goldeneye

This movie is the greatest bond movie of all time. And the greatest N64 video game ever, haha!

Love the Movie Love the Video Game

YES this is one of those movies that all Bond fans should have on their iPods. This is my favorite Bond film and I must agree with another review without a doubt Goldeneye is the greatest video game for Nintendo.

brosnan is the best bond

Best. Movie. Ever.

One of the best Bonds ever

One of the top five Bond films. A great transitional film from the Cold War themed Bonds to a new age of antiterrism and WMDs peing stolen from the former USSR. Bronsnan really does a great job blending the charm of Rodger Moore's Bond with the tough lone wolf nature of Timothy Dalton and the cool womanising temperment of Sean Connery. It is too bad that Bronsnan could not end his Bond career with as great a movie as he started.
