Get Him to the Greek, overall, is heart over humor. Russell Brand plays a surprisingly serious role, never really ever cracking a smile or telling a joke. Jonah Hill, instead, takes the comic lead along side P. Diddy, who plays a fast talking and joke cracking record producer. It is a good balance though of humor and heart, one never dominating the other, making the jokes come naturally. The film never seems to set the story aside just to tell a joke, which is a good thing, seeing as how most comedies nowadays seem to be 100 percent improvisations and come off as pointless. It's in this way that the movie was pretty good, standing out as a good movie and not just a good comedy. One reviewer below said it had its ups and downs, meaning sometimes it was funny, most of the time it was serious. Another said if you love Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall that you'd love this movie, but I have to disagree. This is nothing like those movies. Those were both non-stop laugh fests. This movie isn't. But, it doesn't try to be like those movies, which is the good thing about it. It isn't trying to be the funniest movie ever, it's just trying to tell a good story. And it succeeds. It's a simple story about a washed up musical artist named Aldous Snow getting an offer to have somewhat of a "come back" show at the Greek Theatre. Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) is a huge fan who has to escort him there. During the course of the story, Aldous struggles to understand himself as well as tries to understand why people hated his last album. Aaron helps him cope with these things and they begin to form a bond, making for a trip in which many humorous events take place. This is a funny movie with a good story and good acting, with a surprisingly funny role by P.Diddy. Hope you like it.

Some of the gags in this film can be a little too much, but the rest of the movie made me laugh so hard I was kicking the seat in front of me. Also P. Ditty gave one of the funniest performence of the year as well (WOW!!!). If you want to laugh you until you wet yourself then Get Him to the Greek is for you.
