Barbarian
Traveling to Detroit for a job interview, a young woman (Georgina Campbell) books a rental home. But when she arrives late at night, she discovers that the house is double-booked, and a strange man (Bill Skarsgård) is already staying there. Against her better judgment, she decides to spend the evening. Before long, mysterious sounds draw her to other parts of the house where terrifying discoveries prove there’s a lot more for her to fear than just an unexpected house guest. From 20th Century Studios and New Regency, Barbarian also stars Justin Long. Written and directed by Zach Cregger.
Couldn’t Stick the Landing @Grimnyyr
A very unique horror film, with some clever artistic choices. Two solid and distinct acts followed by an unfortunate fumble of a rushed finale. Recommended rental.
Boy do they think their audience is dumb @H.. P..
Plotless, characterless, storyless, pointless
Really @Twalk Mr
Just the way it starts out was horrible. Any good rating of this movie is by a paid comment
A good premise ruined by a bad character. @BirdyCritic2010
For the first third of the film, I was really enjoying it. Then they introduced Justin Long and the film cratered. A frustrating and annoying garbage horror film that thinks it’s more profound than it is.
If Wes Craven wrote and directed an X-Files episode @Speedy4732
The title says it all. Take Craven’s “The People Under the Stairs” and mix it with S4E2 of The X-Files titled “Home”, throw in a splash of horror video games, and you’ll get pretty closely to “Barbarian”. I absolutely loved this insane, hilarious film. Highly recommend.
