Director: Justin Lee
Release Date:

More than a decade after the Civil War, a nation tries to rebuild as an outlaw faction takes root across the West. Gunslinging detective Matthias Breecher (Kevin Makely) is hired by one of the first African American Senators (Tony Todd) to track down the worst of the Confederate war criminals (Trace Adkins, Bruce Dern and Jeff Fahey), with nothing more than his wits and his revolver. As he roams the Old West seeking justice, his resolve is tested when he meets a determined pioneer woman (Mira Sorvino) who is far more than she seems. As the lawless converge on this lawman, death is inevitable in a terrain that welcomes no stranger.

Great Western

Refreshing take on an old classic! I loved the acting and a great story

Country Singers are no actors

I should have known better when I saw a country singer acting in the trailer. This movie is bad as the title suggests. Stay clear and wait for it to be on Prime, then waste a few hours.

Not Bad Not Great

Here’s a few incongruities: How did Alice the innkeeper know Breecher’s name? He didn’t sign the guest book, remember? How did the sheriff’s men get the drop on Breecher? Remember, the night before, someone knocked on his door, and he answered the door gun-drawn. But now he’s without caution opening the door?! The roads, two of them had tire track marks on them. Watch your background, director! Great, grand, background music, doesn’t exactly match the scenes though, for the scenes are not grand. Sorvino, Todd, Studi, and Dorn did a good job acting. Other actors, so-so. Not bad, but not great. OK for a 99c rental.

So bad

Terrible and slow and bad

see it!

Great homage to the classic westerns.
