An action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman” reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.

Absolutely worth watching.

This movie is one hell of a cinematic ride. It’s filmed brilliantly and the CGI is gorgeous. Atlantis looks so much better than expected and some of the action scenes are like 30 seconds long, which is insane. Jason Momoa nailed the lead role. The movie has a compelling story that takes both the protagonists on a very well thought out adventure. Thankfully, both of the main protagonists are very likable. Moreover, this movie takes a huge risk that most movies execute horribly when they take. That risk, is placing a ton of emphasis on an object throughout the entire movie. Aquaman places a ton of emphasis on the trident of the first king of Atlantis. This emphasis is executed properly however, and does not end up being underwhelming, which I was pleasantly surprised by. I don’t have much to complain about, but here’s what I personally think could have been done better. King Orm was not a compelling villain. He was a typical power hungry king. Black Manta was portrayed very well, and he was cool, but vastly underused unfortunately. Furthermore, too much of the humor in this movie was just dumb. Lastly, the love story between Arthur and Mera was pretty cliché. All of that aside, I really enjoyed watching this movie, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone. It is absolutely a step in the right direction in terms of fixing the DCEU.

Loved it

If you’re one of those harsh critics who finds fault in every DC movie then I suggest don’t go and see it. If you’re someone who just loves superheroes and wants to be entertained then this is just what the doctor ordered.

Absolute rubbish - a waste of over 2 hours of electricity

Acting was wooden, the music didn’t match the mood in the movie. The plot was shallow and predictable and still they dragged it out beyond 2 hours. Half of it looked like it was filmed on an iPhone !! Worst movie I’ve seen in 2018 (and that included The Meg - which is saying something).

Fishman

TRON meets Jurrasic Park meets The Little Mermaid, enough said...

Horrible.

Most of the movie budget went to gym memberships. Should have gone to acting classes and upgrading Black Mantis costume. I rate this somewhere between attack of the killer tomatoes and cannibal women in the avocado jungle of death.
