Director: Justin G. Dyck
Release Date:

After a tragic car accident that resulted in the death of their only grandson, Audrey and Henry are unable to go on with their lives without him. Following the guidance of their ancient spell book, the elderly couple decide to abduct a young pregnant woman with the intention of performing a 'reverse exorcism' to channel their grandson’s spirit inside her unborn child. But when it becomes clear the ritual has called upon more than one spirit, the couple realize they have summoned more than they bargained for and must put an end to the evil entity they’ve invoked.

MUST WATCH

I’m an avid horror movie fan and have very high standards for proper gore depiction and a believable plot, this movie hits it out of the ballpark. Very well made, scary, exciting. Worth every penny.

Had potential

After reading so many good reviews building this up to be such a good horror film I just had to see this movie. It started out with such great potential, and even though there wasn’t anything really scary about it, it does give an ominous feeling as to what is coming. But…unfortunately by the halfway point things are still going slow and not much in the scare department, and it started to get almost boring. And in the last quarter of the movie it just falls apart. No real scares, far too many unanswered questions about what is happening, and an ending that just lets you down! I was disappointed simply because it had so much potential in the beginning to be a really good occult movie, but in the end it just wasn’t.

What hereditary should’ve been!

This movie was so haunting and disturbing. This is exactly what I thought hereditary should’ve been. A couple of grandparents knowingly join into a satanic cult as a way to bring back their grandson Jackson who died too soon. They kidnap a pregnant woman to use her unborn child as vessel for Jackson, but because they mess up the ritual many dark entities begin haunting and possessing the other people that come in contact with the couple. This movie has some amazing scares, so many scary surprises. The writing is amazing and well done. THIS WHAT HEREDITARY SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
