The Guardian (1990)
A handsome young couple finds the perfect live-in babysitter to look after their newborn child. It seems like a fairy tale, until ancient, super-natural forces turn the couple's dream into a nightmare. Jenny Seagrove portrays the enchanting guardian, who enters the home of new parents Dwier Brown and Carey Lowell possessing impeccable references and an affinity for children. But as her true intentions are revealed, the battle for the child's soul begins.
Contemporary Classic @secret monk
This used to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid - I think it was always on Saturday afternoons on USA or TNT or something. William Friedkin is an awesome weirdo.
An outrageously over the top film @IOB1881
A nanny who sacrifices babies to a pagan tree she worships is not an idea I would’ve thought of until now. While many people will understandably not like this movie, if you’re a fan of cult classics such as The Lair of the White Worm, you should definitely check this out.
A flop!! @Matty-The Wanderer
I saw this years ago and it was the worst film I ever saw!!! OK hust for starters where in the heck could you find a druid forest in the Hollywood hills of California!?! Dont bother answering, this film isnt worth the film it was put on. The only reason I ever saw this was that when I was a kid Carey Lowel was my baby sitter. Shes an old friend of our family, I felt bad when she started making terrible films. She was much better on television. Sorry Carol
