Great for what its worth

This movie is more a creepy and a spirtual fantasy movie more than anything. But it gets us a good look into the beliefs of voodoo, and it has Bill Pullman in it! The anthropolgist that wrote the orignal book only hated it because in the scientific community having any kind of spiritual beliefs is like heresy (the book was a scientific look at voodoo). You have to see it at least once. It provides a narrated and well drawn out story into the mysterous underworld of voodoo culture in Hati.

Real Horror Movie

I'm an avid horror fan and have been since childhood (so needless to say it takes alot to frighten me). I remember watching this movie when I was a kid and it scared the crap out of me. If someone is looking for a real horror movie and not just a big gore fest, then you should check this one out. I'm 29 and it still gives me the creeps!

90’s classic

Man, I remember watching this movie as a young pre teen, scared me straight. ☹️? A good watch, nonetheless ??

Not what I expected, but...

This is an excellent movie - great and engaging story, nicely carried out and translated into a movie. It's not a zombie movie in the typical sense, but offers much depth. Craven managed to keep the tension throughout the movie, not a moment of dullness. Overall, highly recommended (if I have to critize something, it'd be the cheesy-B-movie-looking cover!!)

Sure

Its alright. It holds up.
