The People Under the Stairs
Wes Craven, the director of The Serpent and the Rainbow and Shocker, locks you inside the most terrifying house on the street. Trapped inside a fortified home owned by a mysterious couple, a young boy is suddenly thrust into a nightmare. The boy quickly learns the true nature of the house's homicidal inhabitants and the secret creatures hidden deep within the house. Stunning visuals highlight this inventive film that the San Francisco Chronicle calls, "Wes Craven's most satisfying movie."
a great movie by wes craven he never ceases to amaze me @Camstr123
i saw this on demand and i thought it was well played out although the parents were just plain freaks in their own way. the storyline was just excellent and the settings gave it more of an eerie feel to it. although the children were an excellent addition, the whole beginning scenes really didnt need to be in there.
Amazing @LizCroson
This movie is amazing, Its a real classic!! A must see, I saw it when I was a little girl and its still just as good!!!
Silly Rabbits. . . .Horror isn't for kids. @IdioTequeNine
This movie is a classic, and disregard anything said by the amateurs who didn't like it before me. I grew up before hostel and the hills have eyes, so brutal rape and death scenes don't do it for me anymore. Was it a critic of Hitchcock's who said "it's not what you see that scares you, it's what you do not see." FANTASTIC FILM! One of Craven's best, for sure.
Best movie ever @Aprilicious1984
This is my favorite movie of all time!! So serious but yet funny at the same time. I love it and always will!!
Big Ed and Nadine Hurley @oneoclockjump40
Yes the couple from twin peaks, play bro and sis in this film, I think. Anyway, it's a good, odd, funny horror film.
